Job summary

Active Explorers Greenmeadows in Napier is seeking a qualified and registered Early Childhood Kaiako for our 2-3 year olds. You will join a welcoming whānau and contribute to meaningful learning through play, relationships, and inquiry.

You’ll work with an experienced team to create engaging, culturally responsive experiences, strengthen whānau partnerships, and support tamariki growth. The role offers ongoing professional development and opportunities within the Evolve Education network.

Qualifications

• A recognised ECE qualification and Provisional or Full NZ Teaching Council registration.
• Experience with 2–3 year olds and responsive, play-based learning.
• Commitment to culturally inclusive and whānau-centered practice.

Active Explorers Greenmeadows are looking for a qualified and registered Early Childhood Kaiako to join our thriving 2-3 year olds and become part of our welcoming centre whānau.

Our Kauri Room are active explorers, eager to discover the world around them through play, movement, creativity, and meaningful relationships. We provide a nurturing and engaging environment where children are encouraged to build independence, develop social skills, and follow their natural curiosity in a safe and supportive setting.

With Anderson Park just across the road, our tamariki enjoy regular opportunities to connect with nature, explore their local community, and extend their learning beyond the centre gates.
