Job summary

Silverdale Normal School invites a collaborative, flexible and self-managing teacher to join our Junior School team.Collaborative, reflective practice will support our youngest learners as they grow in English, maths and te reo Māori, and across the arts and sciences. You will work closely with whānau, staff and the wider community to foster a love of learning.

This fixed-term, full-time position starts at the beginning of Term 1, 2027, covering a teacher on leave, with a start date of 28

Normal School Allowance (NSA) for teachers holding Tūturu | Full Practising Certificate (Category One)

We are seeking a collaborative, flexible, and self-managing teacher to join our Junior School team. In this role, you will provide engaging and effective teaching that supports the growth and wellbeing of our youngest learners. The successful candidate will be relational, culturally responsive, and committed to upholding the mana of every child. They will be an active contributor to our school whānau, fostering a love of learning in their classroom and working closely with staff, whānau, and the wider community.

This fixed term position starts at the beginning of Term 1, 2027, covering a teacher who is temporarily changing roles.
