Job summary

SkyCity Auckland is seeking a capable culinary professional for a Junior Sous Chef/ Chef de Partie stepping up into more responsibility. The role covers a range of shifts in a high-volume, five-star standard kitchen, with the chance to lead sections and train junior staff.

You will bring at least 2 years in a top restaurant, strong communication, autonomy and a positive attitude; SkyCity offers staff benefits, discounted parking, medical insurance and dining discounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a high-end, large-volume restaurant to a 5-star standard.

To be successful in this role, you'll either have previous management experience at a Junior Sous Chef level or have been a strong performing Chef de Partie who is ready to step up. Due to the dynamic nature of our business, this position will cover a range of shifts, so flexibility is key. You’ll also have

• A minimum of 2 years of experience within a high end, large volume a la carte restaurant to a 5-star standard/Chef Hat/Michelin background
• Strong communication skills who will educate, motivate and inspire a team of highly skilled chefs
• A positive & professional attitude
• Cultural awareness obtained through working and managing a multinational kitchen brigade.
• You will have a sound understanding of a kitchen structure and operation and be able to work autonomously.
