Rocket Lab is seeking entry-level Manufacturing Engineers across multiple disciplines in Auckland, NZ, to turn early ideas into manufacturable designs and to build and optimise the systems that bring rockets to life. You will work across assembly, integration, machining, and test domains, collaborating with production, quality, and design teams to deliver high-quality hardware on schedule.

Qualifications

• Recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or similar
• Some level of technical experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Process Engineering environment
• Hands-on experience solving problems in complex manufacturing systems
• Ability to deliver on complex assignments with autonomy
• Foundational knowledge in complex manufacturing processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Can-do and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with GD&T and precision inspection (advantageous)

Responsabilités

• Own and ship products, becoming the expert on the designs you help build
• Support production goals while maintaining quality
• Improve existing products and assist new designs
• Investigate failures and implement fixes
• Assess parts against flight standards using engineering analysis
• Coordinate with production, quality, and design teams to resolve issues
• Write clear procedures to ensure smooth production
• Design reliable hardware and test setups
• Create test methods for critical systems
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma to improve speed and quality
• Lead and scale by reviewing designs for ease of manufacture
• Assist in launching new products to the factory floor
• Document wins and lessons learned for the team
• Mentor technicians and engineers
• Break big projects into manageable pieces and manage them
