Job summary

TrackerRMS, Inc. is seeking an experienced Architect in Wellington to lead design, documentation and client engagement across education, residential and commercial projects in Aotearoa.

The role includes developing briefs, 3D visuals, and coordinating consent applications while ensuring high quality outcomes. With 5+ years NZ experience and NZRAB registration in process, you will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, attend site visits, and help grow the studio's pipeline.

Qualifications

• NZRAB registration or in progress required.
• 5+ years NZ experience in commercial, educational, residential and/or modular projects.
• Experience in both public and private sectors preferred, project values from $700k to $12m.

Responsibilities

• Produce design briefs and concept documents with 3D visuals.
• Document architectural plans for pricing and consents (PIM, Resource, Building).
• Lead client meetings, present concepts, gather feedback and refine designs.
• Develop business opportunities and assist with design pipeline when suitable.
• Attend site visits and ensure projects progress on time.

Our client is multi-disciplinary design consulting studio operating across Aotearoa’s private and public sectors with projects that range from education, multi-storey residential, multi-site developments, modular and commercial projects. They apply unique, innovative designs to almost any building type and use the highest quality standards to ensure an outstanding end product for their customers. With a growing portfolio of projects, the opportunity now exists for an experienced Architect to join their organisation.

The role

• Produce comprehensive design brief and concept documents incorporating 3D visualisations
• Complete documentation of architectural plans and specifications to enable project pricing and BCAs to issue and oversee the following approved applications: PIM, Resource Consent and Building Consents
• The option to develop new business and design pipeline for studio one to achieve growth plans and commercial targets (not required, but the option is there if it suits candidates)
• Lead client meetings to present design concepts, gather feedback, and refine designs based on client preferences
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers and scope and advance business development opportunities
• Participate in project reviews and assist with organisation of current workflow to ensure projects are completed on time
• Attend site visits across Aotearoa, as necessary
• Continue ongoing training to ensure a vast knowledge of the New Zealand building code, acceptable solutions and building material specifications used throughout projects
• Submit timely information to support Niche Group tenders and proposals and also prepare effective, winning fee proposals for external clients.
• Regularly collaborate with team to help drive projects to completion while exceeding customer expectation

The candidate

• NZRAB registered (or currently in process of registering)
• 5+ years of New Zealand experience required with at least some commercial, educational, residential and/or modular project history within both public and private sectors ($700k to $12m preferred)
• Proficient in the use of Revit software
• Great level of communication skills
• Strong work ethic, passion for the work and dedication to the business
