Job summary

Ebbett Prestige is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join the JLR team in Mt Maunganui. You will service, diagnose and repair Land Rovers and Jaguar vehicles with modern technology, including EVs, while maintaining high workmanship standards.

The role requires 5+ years' experience, JLR Level 2 or higher, and strong diagnostic skills. You will contribute to a collaborative workshop environment and engage in ongoing manufacturer training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' automotive technician experience.
• JLR Level 2 or higher qualifications required.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with modern vehicle electrical/electronic systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair faults using diagnostic equipment.
• High workmanship standards and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic faults using TOPIX.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and information.
• Inspect, test and assess vehicle components and systems.
• Complete electronic vehicle health check reports.
• Perform complex diagnostic and repair work.
• Carry out PDIs and fit accessories.
• Work safely and maintain high-quality workmanship.
• Complete repair orders accurately within timeframes.
• Keep up-to-date with new vehicle technology via online training.
• Collaborate with a professional workshop team.
