Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Software Engineer in its Digital team in New Zealand. You will contribute hands-on software engineering to deliver high-quality, resilient digital solutions within your squad, collaborating with stakeholders to reduce technical debt and improve working practices.

You’ll work on modern software, align with industry best practices, comply with standards, and support sprint goals that align with delivery, customer, and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong experience in Java, React, or mobile development.
• Experience in Agile teams with DevOps responsibilities.
• Exposure to mentoring and knowledge sharing within teams.
• Institutional banking experience is a plus.
