Job summary

I Trading Limited in Auckland, North Island is seeking a Site Supervisor to join our growing civil construction team. You will assist the project manager in planning and organising drainage, excavation and earthmoving activities, and you will supervise site crews to meet deadlines and quality targets.

You will interpret plans and regulations to ensure H&S compliance, coordinate with engineers, designers and inspectors, monitor site safety, train operators, and keep records of progress and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years work experience in civil/construction or related field.
• NZ level 4 qualification or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist project manager in planning and organising drainage, excavation and earthmoving activities from end to end.
• Manage site activities related to drainage/excavation and supervise machinery operators to meet deadlines.
• Interpret plans, regulations and codes to workers to ensure compliance with H&S regulations.
• Oversee drainage and excavation work to deliver projects on time with quality and within budget.
• Plan schedules for timeframe, workforce, equipment for each project.
• Coordinate with team and clients to complete projects within timeframe and specs.
• Manage site operation from build set up to completion.
• Quality checking and record keeping; maintain effective communication between parties.
• Liaise with engineers, designers, inspectors to identify and solve problems as needed.
• Monitor and oversee site health & safety and ensure safety benchmarks.

Excellent opportunity to join a successful and well-established Auckland based construction company and become a part of a great team. We are now looking for 1 Site Supervisor to join our supportive team.

You are required to:

• Assisting project manager in planning and organizing civil works, including drainage, excavation, and earthmoving activities from end to end
• Managing all site activities related to drainage/excavation work and supervise civil machinery operators to ensure project deadlines are met
• Interpreting plans, regulations and codes of practice to workers on sites to adhere to H&S regulations and policies
• Overseeing all elements of drainage and excavation work on site to deliver projects on time with excellent quality standards and within project budget
• Making plans to schedule timeframe, workforce , equipment and machinery required for each project
• Working closely with the team and clients to ensure the projects are completed within the negotiated timeframe and specifications
• Managing the site operation from build set up to completion
• Quality checking and record keeping with effective communication between different parties for project progress
• Liaising with civil engineers, designers, council inspectors or other relevant workers to identify and solve the problems when necessary
• Monitoring and overseeing site health & safety , ensuring all excavation activities meet required safety and quality benchmarks while addressing any concerns that arise.

Here’s what we need from you:

• Have at least 2 year s’ work experience in the same field/industry, OR
• Have a relevant NZ level 4 qualification or equivalent
