Job summary

Rocket Lab in Auckland is seeking an IT Systems Engineer II to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will implement, administer, and operate on VMware, Kubernetes, Linux, Windows Server and Client platforms onsite at the Mt.

Qualifications

5+ years of IT systems engineering experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent (9+ total years).
In-depth knowledge of Windows Server Administration: AD, DNS, PKI, etc.
Experience with AWS and/or O365 & Azure enterprise environments.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, VMware, Linux, Configuration Management, Automation, and/or IaC.
Experience with Server/Storage hardware, backups, NetApp, Pure Storage, hyperconverged infra, VOIP.

Responsibilities

Provide SME guidance to deliver and support IT systems through cloud infrastructure management and project delivery.
Perform upgrades and maintenance focusing on reliability and security of infrastructure.
Lead planning and deployment for infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business teams.
Create and sustain automated processes for software delivery, OS deployment, and configuration management across SCCM hierarchy.
Maintain operations during upgrades or migrations by implementing changes.
Troubleshoot software or hardware issues per project tasks policies.
Conduct risk mitigation for change/configuration management and new software delivery/packaging.
Create/test/distribute OS, application packages, scripts, and configuration management for computing platforms.
