Job summary

Rocket Lab’s IT team is focused on enabling global operations across our computer systems, networks, and devices. The IT Systems Engineer I role is based onsite at the Auckland Production Complex and will manage VMware, Kubernetes, Linux, Windows Server, and cloud environments.

The candidate will lead infrastructure projects, automate software delivery and configuration management, and troubleshoot complex issues to keep systems secure and reliable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 6+ total years with a high school diploma.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server Administration: AD, DNS, DHCP, PKI, GPOs.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure) and O365.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME guidance to deliver and support IT systems, manage cloud infrastructure, and drive project delivery.
• Carry out upgrades and maintenance focusing on reliability and security.
• Lead project planning and deployment for infrastructure initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business teams to support production operations.
• Create automated processes for software deployment and configuration management across SCCM and related tools.
