About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Security Manager to lead their cybersecurity initiatives. This critical role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive security strategies to protect the organization's information assets. Based in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA , you will manage a team of security professionals, ensuring robust defense against evolving cyber threats. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership qualities, extensive technical expertise, and a proven track record in managing security operations and compliance programs. You will collaborate with senior management to align security objectives with business goals and foster a strong security culture throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing security strategies, policies, and procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of network security, application security, data security, and cloud security.
• Experience with incident response, risk management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Experience managing security budgets and vendor contracts.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
