Job summary

Ravensdown Limited in Napier seeks an experienced Process Laboratory Analyst to join our strong laboratory team at the Napier Manufacturing site. You will perform environmental compliance testing, in-process QC, and dispatch sampling, while maintaining quality systems and supporting rapid turnaround for customer samples.

The role involves hands-on sampling in a production environment, operating and troubleshooting lab equipment, reviewing data, and providing actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a commercial laboratory.
• Science-related degree or equivalent.
• Practical laboratory skills and interest in factory processes and chemistry.
• Experience with UV/Vis and Atomic Absorption instrumentation is advantageous.
• Knowledge of workplace H&S and strong data review capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental compliance testing including discharge stack, stormwater, and ambient air sampling and analysis.
• Perform fertiliser in-process quality control, dispatch sampling and analysis.
• Maintain laboratory quality systems and documentation.
• Hands-on sampling in the production facility and operating lab equipment.
• Interpret results and provide recommendations to production staff for action and process improvement.
• Support quick turnaround of customer samples while driving quality and continuous improvement.
