Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Inventory Specialist to join the Welkom warehouse team. You will maintain accurate inventory records, conduct cycle counts, and help manage stock levels to prevent discrepancies.

Ideal candidates have attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and experience with inventory software and Excel. This hands-on role offers training and potential for full-time progression within a structured team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control or stock management.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with inventory handling.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between inventory records and physical stock.
• Maintain organized stockroom and ensure proper storage and rotation of inventory.
• Process inventory adjustments, receipts, and transfers in the inventory management system.
• Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status, obsolescence, and potential shortages.
• Assist in implementing inventory control procedures and best practices.
