Job summary

New Zealand Police – Wellington, North Island is seeking a Support Officer for the International Service Group. The role provides administrative and logistical support for overseas deployments and postings, coordinating health, welfare and medical criteria and insurance for staff.

This permanent, full-time position is based at PNHQ, offering broad stakeholder engagement and a focus on confidentiality. Salary ranges between $81,098 and $84,813 NZD per year.

Qualifications

• Provide excellent administrative skills, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to learn new applications.
• Identify and maintain constructive relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Communicate positively with a wide variety of audiences and respond to requests for service in a professional, customer friendly and timely manner.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information in relation to Health, Welfare and Medical information for deployed staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative and logistical support for international deployments, programmes and projects.
• Responsible for ensuring all NZ Police Health, Welfare and Medical criteria for deployable staff are met appropriately, including ensuring appropriate Insurances are in place for deployed staff.
• Responsible for ensuring all deployed staff have appropriate equipment and clothing.
• Supports the processing of claims, invoices and record keeping.
• Processes mail / freight to Diplomatic bags.
