Grant Thornton New Zealand Ltd is seeking an Internal Audit and Risk Manager to oversee internal audit and risk engagements across diverse clients. You will apply professional standards, assess controls, and help strengthen governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.

This role offers variety, leadership of a team, and opportunities to work with dynamic organisations. You will partner with clients and stakeholders, deliver clear audit reporting, and implement practical recommendations

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CA, CIA or CPA certification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management, preferably in a large organisation.
• Minimum 2+ years of leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of risk management concepts, internal auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading engagements and supervising staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage internal audit engagements across planning, execution, and reporting.
• Assess risks and design audit programs and testing procedures.
• Conduct interviews with stakeholders to understand processes and controls.
• Evaluate internal controls and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Identify improvements and provide recommendations for control enhancements.
• Prepare concise audit reports with key findings and recommendations.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and ensure timely closure.
