Job summary

Unichem Pharmacy is offering an Intern Pharmacist position at its Waikanae Health Pharmacy, with a 40-hour week and ongoing development opportunities. You will gain hands-on experience in dispensing under a preceptor, while learning about dispensary operations and the broader pharmacy retail business.

Ideal candidates are final-year Bachelor of Pharmacy students in NZ (or approved overseas) or enrolled in EVOLVE, with provisional NZ registration planned.

Qualifications

• Be in their final year of a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (NZ or approved overseas institution) with Pharmacy experience in NZ.
• Be enrolled in the EVOLVE Intern Training Programme.
• Obtain provisional registration with the Pharmacy Council of NZ under the Intern Scope of Practice before starting.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Motivated and dedicated to continual improvement of self and the business.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day dispensing operations under the supervision of a preceptor.
• Learn about dispensary operations and the Pharmacy Retail business within a supportive team.
• Grow clinical knowledge and confidence in a community-focused pharmacy environment.
