Job summary

Unichem Pharmacy in Waikanae Health Pharmacy, part of Green Cross Health, is seeking an Intern Pharmacist to support day-to-day dispensary operations under supervision. This full-time, on-site role offers hands-on dispensing experience and exposure to a wide range of pharmacy services.

You will be mentored, grow clinical knowledge, and participate in the EVOLVE Intern Training Programme while contributing to personalised patient care in a community-loved setting.

Qualifications

• Be in final year of a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (NZ or approved overseas institution) with Pharmacy experience in NZ
• Be enrolled (or planning to enrol) in EVOLVE Intern Training Programme
• Obtain provisional registration with the Pharmacy Council of NZ under the Intern Scope of Practice before starting
• Have excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Be motivated and dedicated to continual improvement of self and the business

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations within the Dispensary under the supervision of a preceptor
• Provide accurate and efficient dispensing of pharmaceuticals
• Learn about Dispensary operations, the Pharmacy Retail business and how it operates
• Grow clinical knowledge and confidence in a supportive community-loved pharmacy environment
