Job summary

Partly in Christchurch, NZ is seeking a software engineering intern to join one of our R&D teams and tackle real, meaningful problems with client impact. You’ll work with engineers on challenging projects, learn from mentors, and gain exposure to modern tooling and deployment practices in a supportive environment.

You’ll design, implement, test, and deliver scalable software while strengthening your fundamentals, autonomy, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in BS in Computer Science or related field.
• Able to work on complex problems and provide scalable solutions.
• Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork.
• Residential in Christchurch, New Zealand for the internship duration.

Note: Partly is headquartered in Austin, TX with offices in London, UK, Christchurch, NZ and Auckland, NZ. Wherever you're based, we'll connect you with your nearest office for onboarding, and fly you to join the full team for our quarterly "Season Openers" (we cover travel and accommodation). This role

In this role, you will work alongside other members of our software engineering team to tackle exciting R&D problems.

What will you do

You will be part of one of our R&D teams and build a project with real, meaningful, and major impact for our clients.

You will have the chance to learn, contribute, and deepen your engineering skills.

You will architect, design, implement, test, and deliver highly scalable products through high-impact projects.

You will learn software delivery practices from the best in the field.

Your skills

• You have an exciting project to share with us—something you are truly proud of.

• You are enrolled in and working toward a BS in Computer Science or a related field.

• You are a problem solver who loves complex problems.

• You have strong engineering fundamentals.

• You spend time outside of university working on personal projects.

• You are able to work and learn autonomously.

• You are, or can be, based in Christchurch, New Zealand for the duration of the internship.
