Job summary

Cross Group (NZ) is seeking an experienced Intermediate or Senior Accountant to join our Christchurch team. You’ll bring at least three years’ NZ accounting firm experience, with a sound grounding in tax and compliance and the confidence to work directly with clients.

You’ll be curious, proactive and interested in using technology, automation and AI to improve how things are done. We don’t expect you to arrive as a fully developed adviser, but you’ll gain exposure to forecasting, management

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience in a New Zealand accounting firm.
• Sound grounding in tax and compliance.
• Confidence to work directly with clients.
• Curious, proactive and interested in using technology, automation and AI to improve how things are done.

Responsibilities

• Genuine client ownership and exposure to forecasting, management reporting, business planning, valuations and due diligence.
• Support senior advisers and contribute to advisory workflows.
• Develop broader business advisory capabilities over time.

• At Cross Group, you won’t be parked behind annual accounts all day. You’ll gain genuine client ownership and exposure to forecasting, management reporting, business planning, valuations and due diligence.
