Job summary

Precision Water Limited in Marlborough, NZ is seeking an experienced irrigation technician to service, maintain and repair existing systems, install new setups, and support upgrades and commissioning across rural, viticulture and commercial sites.

Qualifications

• Five years irrigation industry experience.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs.

• Comfortable with computers and learning new systems.
• Holds a full NZ driver licence.

You will work across a broad range of irrigation and water systems, including servicing, maintaining and repairing existing systems, completing new installations, system upgrades, commissioning, preventative maintenance work, controls and automation across a range of applications. The role will involve both independent work and working alongside the wider team, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and practical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair existing systems, including diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
• Complete new installations, system upgrades, commissioning and preventative maintenance work
• Work with pumping, filtration, controls and automation across a range of rural, viticulture and commercial sites
• Manage assigned jobs, communicate with customers and complete clear and accurate job documentation

About you

• At least five years' irrigation industry experience, with strong practical knowledge and confidence working across a range of irrigation and water systems
• Capable fault-finder who can assess issues, carry out effective repairs and take ownership of assigned work
• Well organised, communicates clearly with customers and colleagues, and can work both independently and as part of a team
• Good computer and technology skills, with the confidence to learn and work across new systems and interfaces
• Holds a full New Zealand driver licence
