Job summary

Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate Senior School in Auckland is seeking an experienced Deputy Principal to join the Senior Leadership Team for a fixed-term maternity cover from 12 February 2027 to 26 April 2027.

The role supports Years 7–15 across multiple learning areas and requires proven leadership, curriculum oversight, and the ability to lead with professionalism and strong communication within our school community.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within a senior leadership team.
• Experience leading curriculum departments with evidence of improved outcomes.

• Ability to support day-to-day leadership of the Senior School.

Responsibilities

• Provide maternity leave cover as Deputy Principal for Term 1, 2027.
• Support the Senior Leadership Team and school operations.
• Lead curriculum, teaching and learning improvements.
• Foster strong relationships with students, staff, whānau and community.
• Lead and participate in school events and extracurricular activities.
