Welbourn School is seeking an exceptional Deputy Principal to join our collaborative leadership team. Working alongside the Principal and Curriculum Facilitator, you will help lead a school where Manaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga and Hauora shape how we care, protect and thrive together.
This is a leadership role for someone who is people-focused, organised, strategic and committed to improving outcomes for every learner.
As Deputy Principal, you will contribute to school-wide leadership across three key areas:
Lead effective learning support systems, coordinate targeted interventions and support staff, and ensure school systems and daily operations run smoothly. Oversee key assessment, reporting and health and safety processes.
Lead systems that promote learner wellbeing, inclusion, attendance and positive behaviour. Build strong relationships with ākonga, staff, whānau and external agencies to ensure every child feels safe, valued and supported.
Work collaboratively with the Principal and Curriculum Facilitator to strengthen teaching and learning. Use assessment information to identify needs, support effective learning design, and build staff capability through coaching, professional inquiry and collaboration.
