NZ Home Loans is seeking an Insurance Lead to drive growth and management of insurance offerings across our franchise network in New Zealand. You will liaise with advisers, insurers and the capability team to deliver the best insurance advice and client outcomes, while coaching advisers to strengthen capability.
You will build strategic partnerships, identify opportunities within loan books, and influence for optimal outcomes, supporting growth and strong service delivery across NZHL.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to drive all aspects of Insurance product growth, management, innovation and build capability and confidence in the provision of Insurance Advice and delivering good customer outcomes. You will be the key liaison for NZHL and our insurance providers and partners.You will be responsible for identifying and driving Insurance growth opportunities within the Franchise Network; coaching and mentoring our advisers to deliver the best advice for our client’s insurance needs and working with NZHL’s capability team for developing our advisers capability and confidence.
Being a trusted partner for our advisers by demonstrating an understanding of their business, objectives, challenges and opportunities in the Insurance portfolios.
Actively drive overall Insurance sales performance, with a focus on delivering to the business strategic goals, performance and sales strategies and good customer outcomes in conjunction with the Leadership Team.
Assist in managing individual and franchise insurance performance through mentoring, coaching, motivating, training and supporting advisers to achieve targets.
Develop and nurture key stakeholder relationships to maintain NZHL’s reputation and create opportunities for growth.
Establishing frameworks to identify and optimise Insurance opportunities within existing loan books
Appling your specialist knowledge of Insurance products, markets and trends. Use your expertise to identify improvements to the way we operate and to improve customer and client outcomes
Acting as a point of escalation for our advisers to resolve pain points and find solutions for complex requests amongst other key duties
You'll bring subject matter expertise in insurance products and have thorough knowledge of the NZ regulatory requirements. You will also understand our advisers and clients’ needs come first and will be solution focused, with the ability to translate and communicate their needs with our suppliers.
You will be all about building growth and not being scared to get stuck in. That means you also get the importance of strategy and how this plays a key part in its delivery and overall business success. Building strong lasting relationships will be second nature to you, along with being able to influence for optimal outcomes.
A minimum of Level 5 Accreditation as a Financial Advisor with Insurance Strands (Risk preferred)
5+ years’ experience in a related role, with sound knowledge of and experience in the financial/Insurance industry
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships, and an understanding of customer needs in the New Zealand market
Strategic Thinking
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills with a proven ability to be a strong influencer and negotiator
