Job summary

Glass New Zealand Limited (Viridian) is hiring a skilled Glazier for our Christchurch branch. You will be responsible for glass installations on residential and commercial sites, working safely and delivering quality workmanship.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Hands-on installation of glass in residential and commercial sites.
• Carry out site glazing and frameless glass installations.
• Safely load and unload vehicles and follow safety procedures.
• Deliver quality workmanship and good customer service.
• Work with the team to complete installations efficiently.

As a Glazier, you are responsible for glass installations in both commercial and residential sites. We offer opportunities for growth and development! We have two positions available at our Christchurch Branch.

What you're there to do:

• Hands-on installation of glass into residential and commercial buildings in a safe, profitable and effective way
• Carry out site glazing and frameless glass installations
• Safely load and unload vehicles
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Deliver quality workmanship and excellent customer service, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded
• Work collaboratively with the team to complete installations efficiently

Skills & experience you'll bring:

• A strong commitment to health and safety
• Proven experience as a Glazier. Expertise in frameless glass installation is advantageous
• Minimum of three years' work experience in residential / commercial glazing OR a certificate at NZQF Level 4, or a higher qualification, which includes the credit and knowledge requirements of one strand in the New Zealand Certificate in Glazing (Level 4)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
• Full NZ drivers' licence
• Physically fit and capable of performing a high number of glass lifts on a daily basis
• Strong attention to detail
