Wellesley College in Wellington invites applications for a syndicate leader. This full-time, permanent role suits an energetic, experienced teacher who can inspire tamariki in lifelong learning.

Lead a Year 5/6 or Year 7/8 syndicate, teach in a well-resourced classroom and contribute to a positive school culture. You will engage ākonga, whānau and the wider community with enthusiasm and leadership.

Qualifications

• Successful school leadership experience.
• Team player who works collaboratively for best learning outcomes of students.
• Exceptionally organised, plans ahead and can delegate tasks appropriately.
• Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive practices.
• Willingness to join extra-curricular life of the school.
• Collaborative spirit and desire to grow with a supportive, forward-thinking team.
• Support the Senior Leadership Team and school-wide strategic goals.
• Hold a current New Zealand Teacher Registration, and if applicable a current visa.

Responsibilities

• Lead one of our Syndicates – Year 5/6 or Year 7/8 Syndicate.
• Teach in one of our well-resourced classrooms.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with ākonga, whānau and the community.
