Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau invites applications for a Health Care Assistant in our 22-bed inpatient Medicine ward, Ward 31. You will support registered nurses with day-to-day patient care and help maintain a compassionate, safe environment.

We value strong communication, organisational skills and the ability to work within a diverse, multi-disciplinary team. NZ Level 4 or Level 3 Health Care Assistant qualifications with relevant experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Health Care Assistant experience in New Zealand.
• Level 4 NZ Health Care Assistant certificate with 1+ years HCA experience in New Zealand.
• Or NZ Level 3 Health Care Assistant certificate with 2+ years HCA experience in New Zealand.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to patients under nurse supervision.
• Assist RNs with day-to-day tasks and patient comfort.
• Be highly organised, able to prioritise and build relationships with patients.
