Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking an Innovation Hub and Operations Specialist to support CIE’s hubs, systems and events. This role focuses on data and reporting enhancements while delivering smooth operational support across programmes and workshops.

You’ll develop dashboards, improve data capture, and collaborate with colleagues and campus teams to ensure sustainable practices and excellent user experiences in a busy, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, program coordination or similar in a busy environment.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working with data and reporting, translating data into insights.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualisation, dashboards and reporting tools.
• Ability to improve systems, processes and user experience.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with reliable information and systems.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
• A tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation and utilisation of CIE’s innovation hubs.
• Coordinate systems, resources and logistics for programmes, teaching, workshops and events.
• Identify and implement improvements to operational processes and systems.
• Improve CIE data systems, dashboards and reporting approaches.
• Maintain data quality, consistency and accessibility across activities.
• Produce and enhance reporting and dashboards to support planning and decision-making.
• Collaborate with University teams to align data practices with wider policies.
• Build relationships across CIE, University service teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to a collaborative, entrepreneurial operating culture.
