Job summary

Downer is seeking a Project Manager - Structures and Capital to join Connect Hamilton. You will deliver maintenance, renewals and capital projects, leading planning, budgeting and reporting across multiple initiatives.

The role requires proven PM experience in civil construction or infrastructure maintenance, strong leadership, and a commitment to Zero Harm and sustainability. You will work with Hamilton City Council, NZTA, suppliers and contractors to drive value.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering infrastructure projects on time and on budget.
• Proven PM experience in civil construction or infrastructure maintenance.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver maintenance, renewals, and capital projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
• Lead the planning, budgeting, and reporting functions across multiple projects.
• Drive a high-performance and safety-first culture within your team and contractors.
• Foster strong relationships with Hamilton City Council, NZTA, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Manage tendering processes, procurement strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
