Job summary

Auckland Council seeks a Principal Information Security Consultant to provide senior leadership across its extensive technology environment. Reporting to the CISO, you will influence enterprise security strategy, solution design and risk decisions while guiding a skilled team of information security professionals.

You will act as a technical authority, delivering trusted advice to senior leaders and delivery teams, embedding security across projects, agile release trains and operations, and

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Information Security, with 5+ years in senior design or consulting in large organisations.
• Proven advisory and assurance experience at enterprise scale.
• Ability to lead and influence complex security and technology decisions.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, controls and risk management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Provide principal level information security leadership across Auckland Council.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Information Security Consultants.
• Advise the CISO and senior leaders on complex security risks and solutions.
• Guide security strategy, roadmaps, standards and controls across programs.
• Oversee security incidents, change requests and advisory matters.
• Embed security into project design, agile trains and operations.
