As Aotearoa New Zealand's national museum, we are committed to preserving and sharing knowledge, embracing innovation, and ensuring our information assets are accessible, trusted and well managed for future generations.We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking **Information Management Product Owner** to help us to develop the next iteration of Te Papa's electronic document and records management system (Pou Mataaho) and strengthen our information management capability.**Purpose of the Position**The **Information Management Product Owner** is the product owner for Te Papa's electronic document and records management system. This position is responsible for shaping delivering and continuously improving Te Papa information management capabilities, supporting the mission to preserve, manage and provide access to records, collections and assets.This position manages the day-to-day relationship with the EDRMS vendor and associated service providers, ensuring system performance, efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, digital preservation, and public accessibility where appropriate.**After your first year at Te Papa, you will have contributed to**Developing a clear and prioritised roadmap for Pou Mataaho, built effective vendor and service provider relationships, and established confidence among stakeholders that the platform is evolving to meet organisational needs.Increasing organisational understanding and adoption of information management practices through effective advice, guidance, training and partnership. Staff will be more confident in managing information and records, and information will be easier to find and access.ImprovingTe Papa's compliance with the Public Records Act, Privacy Act and Official Information Act, while helping to strengthen information governance, reduce information risks, and increase the value of information as an organisational asset.**Key Responsibilities****Product ownership** ofTe Papa's electronic document and records management system (EDRMS), Pou Mataaho, with responsibility for its integrity, performance and continuous improvement**.*** Develop and maintain product roadmap* Lead the operational delivery of system enhancements* Monitor system performance and improve user adoption.* Manage the day-to-day relationship with the EDRMS vendor and associated service providers* Identify and prioritise opportunities to improve information discoverability and accessibility.Provide **expert advice and guidance** on best practice information management, to support organisational and legislative requirements.* Contribute to the improvement of Te Papa's information management framework.* Provide guidance to the users on effective ways of managing information through its lifecycle, including in delivering training and awareness activities.* Work with stakeholders to implement practical information management solutions and system improvements.* Support users across the organisation to improve adoption and effective use of information management systems and services.**Key Skills, Experience and Attributes****You'll have:*** Proven experience in information and records management within a complex organisation with a strong understanding of information governance, records lifecycle management and information stewardship.* Proven experience with managing Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS), information systems, digital products or enterprise platforms, including product roadmaps and enhancement prioritisation, ideally as a product owner, lead administrator or system specialist.* Experience managing vendors, service providers and stakeholder relationships.* Excellent analytical, planning, problem-solving and communication skills.* Strong digital literacy and confidence working with cloud-based technologies and AI-enabled tools.**You'll bring the ability to:*** Effectively collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups, building trusted relationships and positively influencing others.* Be committed to balance effectively user needs, organisational priorities and compliance requirements.* Embrace innovation and always seek opportunities to improve services, systems and ways of working, in a pragmatic and sustainable way.* Demonstrate curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.**What we offer*** A supportive, values-driven team environment* A workplace committed to Te Tiriti* Comprehensive benefits including onsite Kindergarten, subsidised parking, café and store discounts, and free entry to paid exhibitionsThis is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, based at Te Papa Tongarewa, Cable Street, Wellington.The starting salary will be between $79,298 – $94,166 based on skills, experience and internal relativities.For more details, please refer to the attached **Position Description**.Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
