Aurecon is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to deliver across energy and industrial projects in New Zealand. You will work on brownfield and sustaining capital work, develop options and provide practical recommendations to clients and project teams, and support delivery from studies through to on-site implementation.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, build strong client relationships, and apply sound engineering judgement while gaining exposure to diverse facilities and site

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with industrial, manufacturing, dairy, food & beverage, energy, or processing experience.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and sound judgement.
• Experience delivering engineering projects, work packages or studies.
• Ability to assess options and clearly communicate recommendations.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in brownfield or operating industrial environments.
• Collaborative approach with clients and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Consulting and/or site-based experience within process industries is valued.

Responsabilités

• Deliver mechanical engineering work across brownfield and sustaining capital projects.
• Develop and assess options, supporting practical recommendations for clients and project teams.
• Contribute to projects from early-stage studies through delivery and site support.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project outcomes.
• Apply sound engineering judgement to solve operational and technical challenges.
• Travel to client sites across New Zealand to support projects.
