Schindler in Christchurch is offering an electrical apprenticeship specializing in the industrial stream. This program lasts 3.5 – 4 years and includes training in elevator and escalator installation as well as maintenance and repairs. Apprentices will gain industry-specific certifications recognized worldwide.
The next intake starts in February 2024, with interviews planned for late November/December this year. Candidates must have NCEA Level 2 English, Maths, and Science, along with a clean driver’s license.
Qualifications
- NCEA Level 2 English, Maths, and Science.
- Good attitude and willingness to learn.
- Clean NZ driver's license with own transport.
Responsibilities
- Gain experience in elevator and escalator installation.
- Involvement in maintenance and repairs.
- Become registered as an electrician.
