Flex Fitness New Zealand – Hamilton, North Island
We're looking for an energetic, motivated, and people-focused In-House Trainer to become an integral part of our growing fitness community at Flex CBD. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about transforming lives through fitness while also helping build our brand through engaging social media content.
You’ll work closely with members through one-on-one coaching, group fitness sessions, and digital content creation that inspires, educates, and attracts new members.
What does being an In-House Trainer look like?
Personal Training & Coaching:
- Deliver high-quality one-on-one personal training sessions.
- Conduct member consultations, fitness assessments, and programme design.
- Track client progress and provide ongoing motivation and accountability.
- Support members in achieving their health, fitness, and performance goals.
Group Training:
- Plan and lead engaging group fitness classes and small-group training sessions.
- Create an inclusive and motivating training environment for members of all fitness levels.
- Ensure safe exercise execution and maintain a positive class atmosphere.
Social Media Content Creation:
- Create engaging fitness content for our Instagram & Facebook.
- Feature gym members, success stories, workouts, challenges, and educational content.
- Film and appear in videos, reels, and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with management to support marketing initiatives and membership growth.
- Stay up to date with fitness and social media trends.
General day to day tasks:
- We are a small team at Flex CBD so we also operate with a one team approach, this means supporting the Sales & Membership Consultant in their role when needed.
- Cleaning bathroom facilities on a daily basis.
- Preparing smoothies.
- Keeping our gym clean and tidy, this is something we're proudly known for and want to uphold.
What do you need to bring?
- Recognised Personal Training qualification (Level 4 or equivalent).
- Experience coaching a variety of client demographics.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for health, fitness, and helping people succeed.
- Confidence delivering both individual coaching and group training sessions.
- Ability to create high-quality social media content using a smartphone and basic editing tools.
