Job summary

Access Community Health in Masterton is seeking a caring One-on-one Support Worker to provide in-home support to a young person, building a trusted connection while promoting independence, confidence and wellbeing.

You will offer companionship and practical support across school routines, local outings and health needs, with a focus on community participation and personal growth. Training is provided and ongoing guidance is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability, youth, health, education or community support would be helpful, but the right attitude, reliability and ability to build rapport are just as important.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to a young person in their daily life, building a positive, trusted connection and supporting independence, confidence and wellbeing.
• Provide companionship and practical support across school routines, local outings, community participation and general health and wellbeing.
• Be patient, flexible, responsive and genuinely enjoy helping young people thrive; you’ll receive paid training and ongoing guidance.
