Job summary

MASH Trust is hiring a Support Worker in Palmerston North, Manawatu. This full-time pool role requires covering gaps due to leave and training, with a 48-hour fortnightly schedule and shifts across mornings and afternoons.

Applicants should have 12 months in health care, empathy, a full NZ driver's license, and a commitment to a NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (funded). A supportive team and training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 12 months minimum experience in the Health Sector.
• Passion for Tāngata/People and strong communication.
• Empathy and understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles.
• Ability to carry out personal cares, showering and grooming.
• Professional, honest, reliable team-player with a flexible mindset.
• Full NZ driving licence; van driving as part of the role.
• NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or commitment to obtain it, funded by MASH Trust.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous support by covering gaps due to annual leave and training.
• Be flexible with shifts; work AM/PM, weekdays and weekends.
• Assist with personal cares as part of daily support.
