Job summary

MASH Trust in Havelock North is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our Disability Residential team on a full-time permanent pool. You’ll work 80 hours per fortnight across AM, PM and wake shifts, including weekends, to ensure continuity of support.

You’ll provide person-centred care, assist with daily living activities, help build independence and participate in the local community, with extensive onboarding and funded qualifications to support your growth.

Qualifications

• Be patient, friendly and kind, with the ability to connect with people.
• Minimum 12 months in the health sector.
• Understand Enabling Good Lives principles.
• Professional, honest and reliable team player with a flexible mindset.
• Ability to provide personal cares and kitchen confidence.
• Full NZ Driver Licence is essential for driving the MASH van.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to people with disabilities.
• Assist with daily activities and personal care.
• Build independence and community participation.
• Cover staffing gaps due to leave and trainings.
• Shift flexibility across AM, PM and Wake shifts, weekdays and weekends.
