Job summary
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites applications for a Nurse Educator in the Intensive Care and High Dependency Unit at Tauranga Hospital. The role is fixed term for 12 months, full time 1.0 FTE, onsite.
You will support the practice development programme for ICU/HDU nurses and contribute to organisational learning. We seek registered nurses with significant critical care experience, a nursing education background, and a commitment to education principles and evidence-based practice.
Qualifications
- Registered nurse with significant critical care experience.
- Postgraduate Diploma or currently enrolled in nursing education pathway.
- Experience in educator/adult teaching roles and preceptorship.
- Willingness to travel between District Hospitals as required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver contemporary nursing education within the ICU/HDU.
- Facilitate the practice development programme for registered nurses.
- Contribute to wider organisational learning and professional development.
