We are growing our Building Technologies capability and are looking for an intermediate ICT and Security engineer to join our Christchurch team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving real-world problems and wants to build depth across ICT and electronic security in a consulting environment. You will be involved in a diverse mix of projects and work alongside experienced engineers who will support your development.
You will play a key role in delivering building technology solutions that support how people use, experience, and interact with spaces. From early design through to delivery, your work will contribute to creating secure, connected, and future-ready buildings. We support flexible ways of working and are open to conversations about how this role can work for you, including flexible hours or adjusted working arrangements. In this role, you will:
Contribute to the design and delivery of ICT and electronic security systems including structured cabling, fibre optic networks, access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems
Support the preparation of design documentation including drawings, specifications, and technical reports
Be involved in project delivery through coordination, site visits, and technical support during construction
Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate building technologies into wider project outcomes
Build effective working relationships with clients and project stakeholders, and contribute to a positive project experience
Support the ongoing improvement of tools, standards, and delivery approaches

You are an intermediate engineer with experience in ICT and or electronic security for building projects, and you are ready to take the next step in your career. You will bring:
Around 4-7 years’ of experience in ICT, building technologies, or electronic security, ideally within a consulting environment
Relevant tertiary qualification
Experience contributing to the design and delivery of systems such as structured cabling, fibre networks, access control, CCTV, or associated infrastructure
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within project teams
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a genuine interest in continuing to learn
You take ownership of your work, enjoy collaborating with others, and are motivated to build your technical capability in a supportive team environment.
