Job summary

Roading and Building Recruitment in Christchurch is seeking a Class 4 driver who will also operate hydro excavation vehicles. The role involves 40+ hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, in a busy civil construction setting.

You will work in a small team around moving plant and services; the job requires physical fitness, attention to detail, and good communication to coordinate with site colleagues and the public. PPE is provided, and training is available.

Qualifications

• Pass a drug screen.

Roading and Building Recruitment – Christchurch, South Island

THE GIG:

We are currently working with a well-regarded Civil Construction company, looking for a Class 4 Driver, to also work as an Operator on their Hydro Excavation vehicles. This role will be 40+ hours on offer each week.

The role can be dirty and muddy at times, will involve high pressure water blasting and working around services. Attention to detail, physical fitness and communication are necessities in this role as you will be working in a small team around moving plant, machinery and at times members of the public.

Hydrovac operators are not strictly driving. You will be operating the high-pressure hydrovac equipment yourself. A good level of physical fitness is required to excel in the role.

THE GOODS:

• Excellent starting rate of $30-35 per hour
• Consistent workload with confirmed contracts past 2027
• Mon-Fri with Saturday work at times
• Up-skilling and Development available
• Down to earth, hardworking team
• Big projects and big hours coming up
• Ongoing training and support -Opportunity to get Class 5 License!
