Job summary

Contact Energy in Christchurch is seeking an Engineer, Controls and Instrumentation to join a tight, multi-disciplinary engineering whānau responsible for the full lifecycle of our hydro assets. You will support day‑to‑day operations while leading improvements in technology and process to deliver reliable, safe and efficient generation across the South Island.

You will tackle complex problems, provide trusted engineering advice and grow into a Subject Matter Expert under the guidance of senior

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering with focus on Controls & Instrumentation.
• Experience in Control & Instrumentation, functional safety or asset lifecycle.
• Project or contract management experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Provide trusted engineering advice and solve complex problems.
• Support day-to-day operations of hydro assets and lead improvements in technology and processes.
• Manage outages and system changes, growing into a subject matter expert.
