Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Curriculum Specialist focused on STEM to design, develop, and evaluate innovative curricula in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The role collaborates with educators and technologists to deliver engaging STEM learning experiences and assess outcomes.

The position requires a Master's in a STEM field and 7+ years in curriculum development or related roles, with a hybrid on-site/remote work arrangement for development tasks.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a STEM field or STEM Education.
• 7+ years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or teaching within a STEM context.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing K-12 or tertiary level STEM curricula.
• Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, and other modern pedagogical approaches in STEM.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of comprehensive STEM curricula aligned with national standards and best practices.
• Create engaging and effective instructional materials, including lesson plans, activities, and assessments for STEM subjects.
• Collaborate with teachers and provide professional development on implementing new STEM curricula and pedagogical approaches.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing curricula through data analysis and feedback, recommending improvements.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in STEM education and technology integration.
• Manage curriculum development projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for educators on STEM-specific teaching methodologies.
