Job summary

Auckland Council seeks a Network Lifeguard Team Member to support lifeguarding, customer service, and fitness operations across Auckland leisure centres. This role offers a hybrid, part-time schedule with shifts across multiple sites and weekends.

Training is provided free of charge, and you will qualify through the Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate. A weekend day every week and a flexible daytime roster are expected.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard experience or recreation professional background.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple sites on a variable roster.
• Willingness to undergo training and obtain qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lifeguarding and supervising pool spaces to keep environments safe.
• Welcoming customers, processing memberships and bookings.
• Assist gym operations, bookings, and keep spaces clean and running smoothly.
• Support recreation programmes and set up equipment for activities.
