Job summary

Tribe Group in Auckland is seeking an Intermediate Fullstack Engineer to build and modernise a customer-facing booking platform used by travellers worldwide. You will join a cross-functional team and contribute to a cloud-native PHP environment and a more automated DevOps lifecycle.

The role focuses on building features across search, pricing, checkout and post-booking, plus creating RESTful APIs, performing tests, and driving CI/CD improvements while applying AI-assisted tooling where

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong production PHP experience and JS/DB basics.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance features across a customer booking platform (search, pricing, checkout and post-booking).
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrations with third-party suppliers and internal systems.
• Write clean, reliable PHP code and improve performance/stability.
• Collaborate with product to refine requirements and deliver practical solutions.
• Review systems, identify risks, and propose improvements.
• Test, debug and resolve issues to meet specs and improve customer experience.
• Advance automation, scripting and CI/CD uplift; maintain technical docs.
