Job summary

CGR Services seeks a DevOps Engineer to own end-to-end infrastructure, from cloud architecture to release automation, across multiple regions in New Zealand. You will drive reliability, scalability, and developer productivity while advancing AI-assisted engineering practices.

The role emphasizes on-call readiness, incident response, and close collaboration with architecture and engineering teams to evolve modern platforms and secure operations.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years building and operating production infrastructure.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, multi-region deployments, IAM, networking, and managed services.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Proven experience owning CI/CD pipelines, release automation, deployment strategies, and release gating processes.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration in production.
• Strong observability, monitoring, alerting, and SRE practices.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve CI/CD pipeline reliability and deployment automation.
• Design, build, and operate secure, scalable multi-region AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate to implement modern developer platforms and AI-accelerated SDLC tooling.
• Manage production observability, monitoring, and incident response.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive reliability improvements.
• Implement and maintain IaC solutions and cloud automation.
