Job summary

UP International College in Auckland CBD is seeking a passionate Humanities Teacher to join our academic team. You will deliver engaging lessons across Geography, Communications and Art History, helping international students prepare for university study and develop critical thinking and analytical skills.

You will design lessons, assessments and materials aligned with learning outcomes, foster inclusive classroom environments, and collaborate with colleagues to continually improve programme

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Sciences or a related field.
• Experience teaching secondary or tertiary level in Geography, Communications and/or Art History.
• Ability to deliver engaging lessons and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Experience with international students is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, interactive and high-quality lessons across Humanities subjects (Geography, Art History, Communications).
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials and assessments aligned with programme objectives.
• Help students develop geographical concepts, communication principles and historical perspectives.
• Encourage critical thinking and analytical discussion through classroom activities.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback for academic progression.
• Monitor progress and offer additional learning support where needed.
