Job summary

DIALOG Fitzroy is seeking an HSEQ Coordinator to promote safe work practices on Wellington sites, working with project managers, supervisors and tradespeople to improve safety performance across industrial maintenance, construction and engineering projects.

You’ll lead toolbox talks, conduct site observations and assist with incident investigations while supporting continuous improvement and a safety-first culture across our Wellington operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, maintenance, industrial, or heavy industry environments.
• Exposure to HSEQ systems, audits, inspections, and site-based safety practices.
• Knowledge of SWMS/JHAs, permits to work, and practical risk management.
• OHS Representative Training or equivalent site safety experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Collaborative, solutions-focused approach.

About the Role

As a key member of our HSEQ team, you'll work alongside project managers, supervisors, tradespeople and clients to promote safe work practices and support continuous improvement across our operations.

What We're Looking For

You'll have:

• Experience in construction, maintenance, industrial, or heavy industry environments
• Exposure to HSEQ systems, audits, inspections, and site-based safety practices
• Knowledge of SWMS/JHAs, permits to work, and practical risk management
• Relevant HSEQ training or qualifications (minimum OHS Representative Training), or practical experience in a site-based safety role.
• Strong communication skills and relationship-building skills
• The confidence to engage effectively with people at all levels of the organisation
• A collaborative, solutions-focused approach
