Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to support high-profile energy projects across Taranaki and Taupo, including the Superhot geothermal exploration initiative. The role requires promoting an HSE culture, conducting inspections, and ensuring regulatory compliance in demanding outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Relevant HSE, industrial, trade or operational experience.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental excellence.
• Good communication, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work rostered shifts and in demanding outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement of HSE systems for drilling operations.
• Assist with inspections, audits, incident investigations, training and toolbox talks.
• Maintain records and reporting; support emergency preparedness initiatives.
• Work with rig crews and contractors to ensure compliance with NZ HSE, environmental and workplace requirements.
