Job summary

Omexom New Zealand is seeking a Health, Safety & Environment leader based in Albany, Auckland. You will partner with operational leaders to champion HSE excellence, embedding a high-perform­ance safety culture and ensuring compliance across the business.

You will provide expert advice, coaching, and hands-on guidance to Business Units, drive continuous improvement, monitor governance, and support regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Health, Safety & Environment or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with HSE systems and regulatory requirements is desirable.
• Ability to lead investigations and deliver proactive safety improvements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Champion HSE excellence and foster a strong safety culture across the unit.
• Identify and mitigate operational HSE risks and ensure compliance.
• Partner with managers to implement HSE systems, training and improvements.
• Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions and lessons learned.
• Monitor audits, contractor management and HSE reporting for governance.
• Provide expert advice during HSE events and regulatory reporting.
• Promote proactive risk management to protect people and the environment.
