Job summary

Briscoe Group is seeking a practical HR Adviser to provide day-to-day HR support to managers across the business and lead end-to-end recruitment. You’ll be the first point of contact for managers, offering trusted advice and helping navigate employee relations processes in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role sits within a supportive HR team, offering a busy, varied environment where you’ll make a real difference through practical solutions and hands-on involvement.

Qualifications

• Generalist HR experience including employee relations advice.
• End-to-end recruitment experience in fast-paced/high-volume environments.
• Knowledge of NZ employment law and fair employment practices.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely HR advice to managers on employee relations matters and policies.
• Guide managers through investigations, disciplinary and other employment processes with fair process and documentation.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment, including high-volume and seasonal hiring.
• Help managers handle everyday people matters with confidence and practical guidance.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll and operations to ensure accurate information and consistent processes.
• Contribute to improvements in HR processes, policies, systems and documentation.
• Support health and safety initiatives and promote safe work practices.
