Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Tauranga seeks a Specialist General Surgeon with HPB subspecialty to join our General Surgery team at Tauranga Hospital, supporting services across the Bay of Plenty. The role is permanent 0.92 FTE, providing acute and elective surgical care, contributing to teaching and mentoring of junior medical staff, and participating in weekday duty roster and after-hours on-call.

Qualifications

• Must hold qualifications that meet the requirements for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, or be eligible for vocational registration.

Responsabilités

• Provide acute and elective surgical care.
• Contribute to teaching and mentoring of junior medical staff.
• Undertake associated administrative responsibilities.
• Participate in weekday duty surgeon roster (Mon–Fri, 0800–1700) and after-hours on-call roster.
